Deep Tank started as a side project in November 2017 in Sacramento, CA. Greg Jimenez and Chris Amore had known each other for many years, since the time they worked together at Aaron Brothers art store in Citrus Heights. Chris had just finished writing a new album which didn’t exactly fit the format for his other band The Absolutes and wanted to try out some of these new songs with another drummer. At the same time, things were at a standstill with Greg’s band Black. It was a fresh new atmosphere to get creative. Many songs were introduced and the first recording session yielded seven stellar performances that wound up on the album. Many songs were not used, but right away a new setlist was developed and another recording session was being plotted.

Fast forward a year and a half and in walks Albert Delacruz for the bass guitar duties. By November of 2019, the band was hitting the stage under the name DORIS. Not long after the first string of shows, COVID hit, then a name change for the band, an album released, and the start of a whole new set of songs. The band stays busy, and the 2nd album is underway…
